Superb razor. Close shave. No irritation. Instruction book really clear. Have utilized Norelco before. Very satisfied. In my opinion it is the best razor out there. Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another once again.

Purchased for my son and thus much is working great. Simple to use and easy to clean as well! Mustache trimmer makes a straight edge trim line. Numerous shaves following single eight hour charge.

I’m only slightly disappointed that this razor operates on battery only and not by cord. My fault,I should have looked closer,but I’m satisfied with the product.

Philips Norelco SpeedXL 8240XL Men’s Shaving System Review
I have been using Norelco razors since the 60’s so I have some experience with them. Every 5+ years a newer model is purchased. This new fast shave razor takes about three times longer to shave than my last model 6886XL. Have to keep going over areas on my neck and face multiple times. It has no gage for the charge left so it will just stop without warning. Hope your not rushing to work… It feels and sounds lightweight and cheap. Cheap… Expect it to stop working right after the warantee expires. If this is the way Norelco is going it will be my last shaver from Norelco.

I’ve been a Gilette Fusion manual-razor man for the past two years, nothing beats a nice lather and the raw feeling of shaving away with a manual razor. Well, I received this Philips Norelco 8240XL, and decided to try the hype that is the electric razor. I was very surprised- it is worth the hype! The shave was extremely close, and was very precise. Most importantly, there was absolutely no skin irritation. This is coming from the guy whose skin will turn into hundreds of little red bumps at the slightest irritation, and has to slap gallons of aftershave balm on himself. Amazing- a dry shave with no skin irritation? That’s better than sliced bread. I think I’ll miss using my Fusion.

If I shave in the morning, I’ll have the makings of a five-o’clock shadow in the afternoon. I’ve always used electric razors, and I’ve used wet/dry, single blade, and rotary blade. This Philips Norelco, might just be the best I’ve ever used. It gives a clean, close shave that lasts almost all day. The quiet motor at first seems like its hardly working, but it efficiently trims my beard. The battery holds a charge for a long time. Shaving below the jaw and around the neck can be tedious, but I’ve never had a razor behave otherwise. The trimmer, however, does not work well at all and is the only problem I had.

I needed to replace by Braun 7500 razor that I had been using for 5 or 6 years. After looking and all the reviews and shopping around, I decided to try a rotary razor as these were supposed to get the longer hairs and coarse hairs better than the foil types. Buying this razor was a great purchase. It is so much quieter than my old razor. It took a while to get used to the quiet but I no longer wake my wife by shaving. After about a week by skin became used to the new style of shaver. I’ve cut my shaving time down by half with the Norelco! With the Braun I had to go over areas multiple times to get all the difficult hairs. The Norelco seems to get everything on the first pass or too, even the coarse or longer hairs. Even when I don’t shave for two or three days, it still cut close and quick. I also like rinsing the shaver under the faucet instead of the cleaning station the braun had. I no longer spend $10 every two months buying the cleaning solution and my wife appreciates not having the “spaceship” taking up room on the counter. If you are looking for a good electric razor this is one to buy. Good price, good performance, quiet operations, and easy cleanup.

Remington MS2-390 Men’s Shaver Review
I recently bought my first Remington and could not be more pleased. I have previously had several Brauns and Panasonic shavers. While the older Brauns were quite good, the newer foils seem to spoil my shave and don’t cut as close. I have been pleased with the Panasonic Arc IV but wanted to try the Remington after reading some reviews. This shaver is a bit noisy and doesn’t seem as well built as the Braun or Panasonic….but for me it shaves closer than the Braun Pulsonic and faster than the Panasonic for almost $200 dollars less. I think the secret is the foil. The foil really seems to have larger openings and consequently allows for a closer shave while the Pulsonic seems more geared towards comfort as it compresses so easily you can’t really bear down. The dual blades of the Remington seem to cut both longer and shorter hairs as advertised and compress with pressure to allow for an even closer shave. Overall, I am very impressed.

I was very pleased with the performance of the Remington MS2-390. It is a little bulky and a little noisy compared to my previous shaver, the Braun 1775, but much better shaving. It is also easy to clean. As you probably know, it is the latest consumer report’s best buy. It is also a little expensive compared to the Braun 1775, which used to be another CR best buy. All in all, I like this one much better.

I have used Remington electric razors since 1953. When the screens wore out, or the rechargebles quit after plenty years of use, I wasted money buying other brands because they were cheap; e.g. 2 TV advertised rotary shavers for the price of one. I did love my old Remington with it’s 4 heads. So fast a shave. This may not be as fast, but certainly shaves as close, and no blade razor(Gillett is best) shaves closer. Sure less painful too when applying the aftershave.

I’ve shaved with an electric razor for years and have used Remington’s for many of them. For the past 10 years I have used other brands: Braun, Wahl, and Norelco, for example. Dissatisfied with the closeness I experienced with the other brands, I purchased the Remington MS2-390. While it is a little noisy, the closeness is unsurpassed. Because it does shave so close, it may be a bit irritating for those who are first time electric users; thus, may take some getting used to. As for me, it’s perfect. I recommend it highly.

This is an outstanding shaver. It is powerful and holds its charge for a very long time. It shaves close and dose it very easily. It is also comfortable to hold and seems very well made. Overall, it is a tremendous shaver for a very fair price.

Philips Norelco HQ8 Replacement Heads Review
This product replaced the heads in my Norelco Spectra shaver. I found a great improvement in shaving by being able to shave closer and quicker. It was like getting a new shaver for much less cost. However it did require my old shaver to still have a good motor and battery.

I’ve been a Norelco triple headed electric razor user for over 25 years. The razor which I use now is one which is about four years old and still going strong. Replacing the blades [heads] every 6 – 12 months is still cheaper than purchasing a new Norelco razor. I’ve not noticed any irritation after installing new heads, just a better shave with less effort. Keep your old razor and replace the heads! You can’t go wrong! Amazon’s price for these HQ 8 Spectra replacements was the lowest I could find on the Internet. Shipped very fast!

These blades are direct NORELCO brand replacement blades for the Spectra razor. They fit perfectly and restore the “brand new” shaving experience that you may be missing due to old, dull blades. If your blades are more than a year old or you notice that your shave is not as close as it once was, getting a set of these new blades may make the difference. This is my second set and they really did the trick. Check the Norelco Website if you are unsure if these fit your model but other than that there is nothing to worry about. Incidentally, there are less expensive places to buy them other than Amazon. The shipping kills their competitive pricing.

I’ve been a Norelco rotary shaver user for over 20 years. Blades are long-lasting, easy to change, and easy to clean. They usually last a little less than the advertised one year, but blade life is probably a function of many variables, so I don’t see this as a negative.

I would recommend buying a new razor rather than getting a replacement because the new one feels the same as my old razor heads. The cost to replace this each year makes this something to pass on!

Braun 7000 Review
These replacement blades/screens work just as advertised. I replace mine about once per year as they dull about that often if one shaves 6 days per week on average. I have noticed that the price on these replacements have slowly been rising over the last couple of years, unsure if that’s standard inflation or because they want customers to upgrade the razor instead of buying replacement blades/screens. Overall though, it’s a quality product and this is simply the cost of maintenance.

I am prompted to comment on my shaver system because on ordering replacement parts I happened to read other users remarks. The shaver is great, but the cleaning part is garbage. I notice that they are now selling a replacement cleaner for 50.00. I take some comfort in knowing that I’m not alone, being one of many who is dissatisfied with this product. Meanwhile I will clean my razor by hand.

I have purchased these replacements for my 7526 twice now. once in 2005 and recently in Dec 2008. I have gotten the correct part each time. The reviews that state that this will not fit are old and it seems as if the problem has been resolved. I am glad I decided to go the rout of replacing the blade and foil instead of buying a new razor. the 7526 is the best razor that I have had. Those new razors are expensive so I plan on using this one until dies.

Panasonic ES8103S Review
I have used electric shavers for a while now and I recently purchased the Panasonic ES8103S. The shaver is identical to the ES8109, which has the drying dock. The ES8109S is great, if you are willing to spend the extra $50 – $70 for the drying dock, but not a necessity. I believe this shaver is far better than any other on the market due to its 30 degree blade and all other manufacturers use a 45 – 90 degree blade which requires multiple passes. (I’m an internet shopping junkie; hence I do a lot of research on details about products). It was definitely the right choice to get the ES8103S.

Best feature of this shaver is the close, pain-free, smooth shave. I would say 99% as smooth as razor, the difference is nominal (Can’t tell the difference visually). I have a thick, tough beard and the Panasonic breezes through in very few passes. I get even better results on shaving the mustache, compared with my razor. The neck area is where the shaver has some difficultly, although I think it may be because the shaving cream has a tendency to wash off in the shower. After a second application of cream I can get as close. No razor burn, no in-grown hairs (I do get these with razors). It takes a few extra minutes to complete the shave compared to razor (maybe 7-8 min vs. 5-6 min). All in all I am pleased with the experience and do not plan to move back to razor.

When my old Panasonic needed new blades and foil, I decided to shop for a new shaver. The motor after so many years of cutting my “wire beard” sounded like it was laboring. I thought I was tired of wet shaving and bought a top of the line Braun – it’s for baby beards! Also, the Braun will not move over your skin if it is oily or micro-moist from a warm bathroom, even with shaving powder. It was returned. Braun Series 7 Review
The Braun Pulsonic System 9595CC with LCD is pricey but it is worth every penny. Don’t let the price of the Clean & Renew cartridges deter you from getting this little gem because you can always forego the automated cleaning option and simply use running tap water. I personally have no regrets about getting this shaver and I highly recommend it. Go on, get it and see for yourself how the Braun Pulsonic System 9595CC with LCD lives up to its hype.

Although a bit steep in price, it performs as advertised. I have owned a 7000 series Braun and was getting fed up with the amount of times it took going over my chin, neck and area below the ear on the jawbone. This razor did an excellent job in a minimal amount of time with a close shave I haven’t experienced in years. I highly recommend this shaver if you can handle the price.

Overall, it seems to be a good investment. the razor is well-made for sure, very solid, with a rubber grip handle on the back that is pretty comfortable to hold. it moves very easily over the face, even with 3-day stubble, and is noticably more comfortable than other electrics i’ve used. i think it will take about 2 weeks for the skin/hair to get used to it again, but…good-bye razor blades! hello pulsonic!

Philips Norelco HQ9 Review
This product contains three replacement heads for the Norelco 9160XL electric razor. After 1 1/2 years of continuous daily usage the original cutting heads were no longer giving a good shave. I decided to replace the original blades with this set.

The good:
1.) Easy to following instruction for replacement on the package, and the actual replacement process was incredibly simple and easy to do.
2.) The new blades functioned perfectly; because the decline in performance of the original blades was so gradual, it was difficult to believe how much of an improvement these replacement blades provided.

The not so good:
Only one complaint; the packaging. The replacement blade were embodied in a package that made it extremely difficult to actually get at the blades. There were a series of 6 grommet eyelets surrounding the entire package making it very secure. I literally had to force scissors between the layers of cardboard to get around the grommets to eventually get to the blades inside. In a word…frustrating. Plus, a slight slip and a bad cut may have occurred (I think everyone has experienced trying to open one of these newer hard-plastic wrapped items and knows just how difficult it can really be to get at the product inside).

Conclusion:
An excellent set of replacement blades. (I just hope they’ll last longer than the 3 months it took for the original blades to start to lose their sharpness). Time will tell; but up to now, so far so good.
However, getting the blades out of this package could be considered a potential hazard.
5 Stars for the product itself, with 1 or 2 Stars off for the needless obstructive packaging.

Amazing what a difference new shaving heads make. I hadn’t noticed the gradual degradation in ease of shaving, and thought the problem was with the humidity. Got the new blades and my shaving time was cut by two thirds. Applied the cost savings over getting it in a store to overnight shipping.

Panasonic WES035P Review
This cleaning cartridge is a no-brainer if you own a Panasonic Vortex shaver. These cartridges contain cleaners, cutting blade lubricants and a filter, to keep your shaver blades clean and in proper condition. They are very simple to install in the cleaning base; they last a month or so, are solidly constructed and they work very well. A plus for these shaver cartridges is that they work with just plain tap water; no alcohol-type chemicals are used here. You can choose to clean the blades with just ordinary soap & water, which Panasonic says is an alternative, but I don’t recommend it unless you have to, such as when traveling, as you won’t be lubricating them and you allow the finely machined blades to be valuable to whatever damage may befall them. This is a fine product and truly worth the price.

Having an electric razor that feels like new every morning is a luxury that you deserve. I simply didn’t think I’d like this system but now I find it hard to have it any other way. There are few products that I find to be worth it, this is one of them.

Braun Syncro Shaver System Review
I’ve owned a Braun Syncro for about a year and a half now. It’s the closest shave I’ve ever had without cutting myself, and that includes the new triple blades. But those refills are pricey. Another Amazon review gave me a clue as to how to make each cartridge last six months. Here’s how: Clean your razor once a week instead of every day. Between cleans, remove the cartridge from the cleaning machine and reseal the cartridge with the original plastic tab. No more evaporation problem. I’ve been very happy with the results.

These refills do exactly what they are supposed to do, as you can read in the product description.
I have found no noticeable difference by cleaning my shaver every other use instead of every time. I have owned it for almost a year now. This is a good way to get twice the life out of the refills. They also seem to last longer than the 30 uses stated.
Also, these things are very easy to spill when installing. Be careful!
Finally, I’d recommend stocking up on them if you like the shaver because with products like these, you never know when the manufacturer will stop production thus rendering the shaver obsolete.
